ParticipantJust to give you guys a headsup, Qualtex QUABKT87, the shafts on these dryer kits last about a week at best.
All the ones I have fitted recently I have had to replace with the genuine part C00113038.
The genuine part is only about a pound dearer.
Funny thing is all the non gen shaft kits I have fitted in the past I have had no problem with, when will I learn!
Here’s the last two I replaced today:

fitted a couple a few years back, both failed in the same way within weeks, never touched them since. 🙁

Thats funny because I’ve been having problems with the non gen qualtex QUAPLY40 jockey wheels as well. They’ve been lasting about 3 months and then failing. For the price difference now I just order the genuine ones.

Yep I also had a non genuine shaft snap in a week recently. And has anyone had the ready assembled WMA door handle kits, the hooks have been put in the wrong way round !- Although I think the latter was a connect part

Regarding the jockey wheels, I always take time to pop the circlip off and coat the shaft with a moly grease.
Even the copy items seem to last ok when this is done.

I could understand using non gen if you are saving lots of money and find the pattern spares to be as good as the original but you are only saving a couple of pounds on these pulleys, wiped out in spades if you get a quick U/G call back.

Oh, and do avoid like the plague the cheap copy mag pumps Europart are selling.
Noisy as hell if they work and the impellers have a habit of falling off within a few months.
Buying gen and taking the hit on the couple of quid it costs is definitely more cost effective on certain parts 😉

The only pattern part that in my opinion is better than the genuine is dbt111 for the hotpoint/indesit machines
