Hi all, I now have an issues with no water in a SMS63M08AU/07 dishwasher. I think this is the cause of the DW not heating water properly over the past few weeks by not filling correctly.
What could the problem be? Will replacing the valve correct the problem?
So far I have checked that water flows through the aquastop, with hose removed from side tank. But no flow when connected to tank. The valve outlet (part 611316) has failed mechanical and when the plunger is removed (so water could flow straight through) still no water flow other than about 50ml at the start. The sensor wheel spins with this 50ml. There are no error codes displayed.
Testing I used the 15min pre rinse. Pumps run and drain if water added has been added manually.
DW is a 6 years old and the salt container has never been used
Thanks John
You could try changing the reed switch Part No.BSH611317,the flow sensor wheel may be turning but the reed switch could be short circuit. Sometimes giving the measuring tank a tap near the water wheel can release the reed to prove that it is the reed sc.
Thank you DAR01 for the tip.
After replacing the solenoid the DW now is working, with one prerinse and quick wash done successfully. So hopefully all fixed.
Tank now fills, but I can not work out why the water did not flow with the solenoid removed.
I did check the reed switch, it is seems ok with the following tests, closed in circuit, open removed from DW and about 160ohms when sensor spinning.
