    Have I have a WDI12 and the drum is not spinning. Ive had a quick look on here and there was some advice regarding load senors etc. I have tried it with various loads but still not spinning.
    Im a heating engineer so ive not got an issue with being able to test out. I can hear either a relay or microswitch coming in and out. Ive had the back off and the motor itself is running nice and free when hand turned and the belt is all good.
    It was on a cycle earlier when I had the back off and when I moved it the drum did spin for 10 seconds and stopped again. Since that nothing again.

    Any help or advice appreciated

    Motor brushes?

    I have the same problem – checked brushes and look fine, making good contact.
    Did you find out what was wrong with yours?

    SMEG WDI12C Not turning

    Morning. I have a SMEG WDI12C washing machine – 2 yrs old. Drum is not turning at any point.

    No error messages. Drum spins ok by hand. Took back off and belt and drive pulleys look ok . I can hear relays clicking on and off during a cycle for when the drum should be turning but the motor makes no effort to turn.

    I removed the motor and the brushes on the motor look ok and doesn’t smell burnt out.

    Stumped as to what to look at next.
