ParticipantThe Basingstoke edition of the Thomson Local just floated down from my letterbox onto the jute mat this afternoon. Mixed with all the other junk mail it makes it easy to scoop up and put straight into the green recycling wheelie bin. But couldn’t help looking who advertises in the washing machine section? Just one local guy up against D&G, Indesit and Candy.

Yeah we also give these useless directories a miss , when the dopey sales people try and tell us we are missing out and leave in a piss, we just laugh out loud at them leaving our car park

We’ve been saying it for years….
Take that £XXX and invest it into a decent website.
It’s a far superior investment that will pay back far more over time that either YP or TL ever will or, could.

Website /internet definitely the way to go .
Have to keep up with the latest trends.
Even get calls through Facebook – not that I’m on that!

Until they suss you’re a business then kick you off if you’re not paying it may be. 😉
Coming soon to a country you might live in…
https://www.amazon.com/services/

Not content with the dominant position that they already hold, the titans of the interweb are determined to control… well, everything really.
Facebook’s a young pup, it’s just not sussed how to monetise it yet.
Until it all changes again which, online, is almost a certainty rather than a mere possibility.

Used to spend loads in both yel and Thompsons both a waste of time now they don’t know the appliance game and as soon as they say how good it all is and I say ok put your money where your mouth is and let me keep advertising with you for free this coming year they soon put there lap top back in there bag and off they go ,all they can do is sell you goggle space so why not save money and go there yourself .both are a waste of time .
