ParticipantHi Folks,
Went to this intergrated machine today. Control buttons along the top rim of door and hidden when door shut. Proramming button on left will not sequence the different programme selections but stays on the same one all the time and give little beeps when pressed but machine will not start. Turn off machine then back on stays on same selection.
Checked components all seem operational (recirc pump leaking at chamber seal), safety cut out not operated and door loom in tact. Looked at control board for damage or dry joints – none. Door switch ok. Pressure switch ok, starts the pump for a few seconds if blown into.
I suspect the board but have no experience with diplomat. Number on board is 16010011509.
Any advice would be appreciated, plus what is the cost and where do I get one?
Laurence

It does appear the PCB has failed Laurence, it’s £113 ex VAT list price 😯 I can get one if required for you.

Thanks Folks,
In view of the cost of the board and the fact that the recirc pump is leaking; I will return and check solenoid then give the customer options.
Thanks again, as always very much appreciated.

I have operated the door lock independantly whilst door open to test this and is ok. I suspect that even if this had occured, because selecting prog is done with door open then sequencing the programms by pressing the selector button should still take place, which it is`nt. 🙁
Thanks for your input on this.

sorry, I meant to say stuck in the door closed mode which locks the buttons. Does not sound like your problem anyway.

its usually the board when dead as you describe, Have you tried starting the test cycle as sometimes doing this can reset the board. turn mains on and then immediatley press the select button 4 times not too quickly though or youll miss it, when test cycle is started the left hand and the right hand lights will flash, press select once so that the right hand light only flashes. now turn off the mains and try it if it works great but if not sounds like board (have changed plenty) though i would check solonoid first on dispenser for blow marks as suggested. good luck

Thanks Mandm,
Will give this a try in the next couple of days and post the outcome.

Thanks one and all.

List (retail) Laurence, not a lot of discount though, although it may be a bit cheaper from Smeg directly as they have a higher level of discount 😀
Dave.
