The washer dryer is working normally other than the last twice it was used it was steaming from the detergent holder towards the end of the drying cycle. The top of the machine also felt hotter than normal. There are no error codes, leakages, or any other indications of a malfunction. Thanks for any help I can get with this matter.

Just a thought. Possible tear in door seal where dryer manifold enters top of door seal or near that area circ 12 o/clock. This would make the work top warmer than normal but you`d also get no water leaks.

Thanks to you both. There’s no tear in the Door Seal. I removed the top of the Washer Dryer, it’s as new and very clean. I did however find a trace of soot on top of the third thermostat (the one at a the back looking from the front of the machine), I guess the soot denotes its burnt out – Is it readily replaceable? Brill.

Thanks Martin, can you or anyone advise how I can inspect/clean if necessary, the Condenser. We tried the Washer/ Drier again and had no electric problems so I take it the thermostat/thermal cut out is working. There wasn’t any steam emanating from anywhere other than the detergent box and I could see it rising from the pipe that runs down from the bottom corner of the box. Otherwise the machine works fine. My wife is of cause a little dubious of undertaking a full wash and dry.

Update. The above mentioned thermostat was ok. Checked all the ventilation and ducting and all clean other than a small amount of residue around the top of the Condenser/Fan Housing. Now suspect the Valve Magnet.
