ParticipantHi all,
My indesit IWDE126 washer / Dryer has started to fault, on the display 1+2+4 are flashing, now not really sure what that means as cannot find specific error codes for that model, I am seeing temperature sensor maybe?
Machine fills and runs for a bit and then stops
I checked all filter and outlet pipe and all clear, took the pump off and checked all that was clear as well, anybody offer words of wisdom?
Thanks

Should be F13, Dryer related fault, NTC or connections, fan faulty or blocked.

Thanks for the quick reply, I seem to remember my wife saying the washing wasn’t drying properly before it started faulting, I checked all the connections I could see, don’t recall seeing a fan, any further guidance?

The fan is inside the dryer assy, the ntc is mounted into the side of the dryer ducting and is a very common failure point. The condensor could also be blocked. You will have to strip down the dryer assy to examine fan, condensor and filters, after removing the mains plug of course.;)

Thanks again, is the dryer assembly on the top of the unit?

Ok going to attempt this tonight, just want to check a couple of things first:
When I run a drain program it starts and stops instantly and does not continue although the pump is brand new, is this a side effect of the F13 error?
So when I look at the dryer assembly I will check cables and that the fan is moving, how would I be able to check the temp sensor is working?
After buying a new pump already I want to limit my costs as the wife is already moaning we should have called somebody out 🙂

Your wife is a wise woman indeed.
Testing the NTC involves a multimeter and a bowl of hot water, it also helps to know what the ntc readings should be. The machine runs a diagnostic test at the start of any cycle and will abort to error mode if any faults are found. You should also be checking for blockages in the condenser.
Or just listen to SWMBO. 😉

so wife remembered she had a card for an appliance engineer, called him as only £20 call out if we didn’t get him to do any work, told him what j did and the error code, he did some tests and replaced the temp sensor, so I had got to the right part but didn’t have a clue how to test, don’t feel so bad now and he only charged £35 all in to replace, will be keeping his number handy.
Thanks the advice though.
