    Will it have damaged it? It was in some dense tomato soup and didn’t spark at first so I just walked out and left it on for 15 minutes. Soup tasted a bit funny but that could just be my cooking.

    Then maybe part fill a mug with cold water and put it on high for 30seconds. If it successfully heats the water then all is well.
