My Bosch SMV53M00GB dishwasher isn’t cleaning properly – more moving dirt around, and the tablet isn’t always dissolving. So I ran a test cycle and it ended quite quickly showing the code H. Does anyone know what this means please?

‘H’ refers to the ‘Intensive Drying’ (see page 17 of user instruction booklet). You can switch it off by pressing the button to the left of the display panel. Intensive drying ON shows up ‘d:01’ Intensive drying OFF shows up ‘d:00’. Press the Start button and close the door to set the value into memory.

The H only appeared on running a test cycle. It doesn’t normally show. Is it not a Bosch test cycle code?

Ive checked the manual and you’re talking about code H:0… – it’s not that. It’s code H (no colon or numbers), following a test cycle.

By “test cycle” I assume you mean just running a short programme? Have you tried switching off the Intensive Drying as per the user booklet and my very helpful instructions 😉

No it’s a proper test cycle as used by Bosch technicians. The top arm isn’t spinning so it could be the valve that switches from the bottom to the top arm or the circuit board that’s at fault. I’ll post more info as I proceed.
