    Hi folks

Having never owned a tumble dryer I’m pretty ignorant of their capabilities/limitations save for what I’ve learned through recent research.

Essentially I live alone and wash relatively small loads two to three times/week (squash player so sweaty kit and towels mainly) using my excellent 7 year old Bosch WAE24467GB.

As I live in a flat I’m looking at a condenser model something like the Bosch WTB84200. Is anyone able to offer a view of this choice. My only concerns are of sensor performance with relatively small loads and that this model appears not to have any timed programme.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

Yes it is a good choice in the condenser type of machine. Machine will perform just as well with full or partial loads. The timed mode is usually only a 20 minute warm cycle which is usually used as a freshen up cycle.

You do need an ambient temperature of approx 15 degrees C for the sensors to operate otherwise the dryer will not work.

Personally for reliability I would go for a vented dryer with a mechanical timer like the White Knight range. Very little on the inside to go wrong and at a fraction of the cost.

    HTH 🙂

    Thanks for the response.

My personal choice would also have been vented but don’t want the hassle of coring a hole through the wall.

Downloaded the user manual and am comforted by the extent of fine tuning available to the set programmes and that there is no issue with partial loads.

    Time to order.

    Thanks again.
