ParticipantHi
I have been getting problems with my dishwasher leaving water behind after a cycle completes. I’ve check the usual impeller for any blockages and cannot see any. The impellor also rotates without any apparent restriction. I removed the drainage pump and there were no blockages to be doubly sure. I did notice when I tipped the dw on it’s back that there was water coming out from the bottom of the dishwasher even though I had removed all water from inside the dishwasher. Is it normal to have this water seep out? I took the waste out and placed in the sink and ran the pre rinse cycle however no water came out of the waste pipe. Water did start leak out from the bottom. Any ideas how to find out the source of the leak given it’s difficult the base of the machine. Are there any instructions on how to disassemble the dw
Any other pointers on what to try next or ideas of what the problem could be would be much appreciated

Ensure the cover is over the pump on the inside of the dishwasher… If this is missing the pump will attempt to pump out but the water will go nowhere

Remove the lid then both side panels in order to have access to the base tray. From there you can investigate where the leak is coming from. Common causes are : Leaking circulating pump, rust holes in stainless tub, overflowing water inlet matrix, hole in water heater unit and leaky water diverted valve.

All over the Internet, including many extremely dodgy YouTube videos.

Apologies for the delayed response I hadn’t realised there had been responses to my question – thought I may have been notified by email maybe my settings. Anyway I’ve taken the pump out and bought myself a multimeter and do not have any resistance registering when I connect the probes to each of the contacts. Assuming this means the pump is a gonna. I looked on the net for disassembly I instructions and whilst there are links for similar dw none seem to be the same. If there are links you could share would really appreciate it.
Many thanks
