    Hi all

    Last night I was using the grill in the top oven of my combination oven when the lamp cover broke in two and fell into the grill pan. What is left is a ring of quite sharp edged glass in the thread. I have tried to use pliers to grip it in order to turn it out from the housing, but the glass edges just fracture. I would appreciate any wise words you could offer.

    Also, would anyone know the Bosch part number for this unit? I have seen covers listed on retailers’ sites, but without clarity as to which ovens they would fit.

    The oven code listed is what is printed on the instruction booklet – HBN 43M5.OB, but I have also seen it shown as HBN43M550B/03

    A new grill oven lamp lens is part no: 00647309. Available direct from the Bosch spare parts web site. The complete lamp unit is : 00629694. 😀

    Only by scraping it out with a screwdriver.

    And with safety glasses on!The glass can splinter and travel far.

    Thanks to each of you – rather than trying to get the glass fragments out, if I were to try to replace the complete lamp unit, would that be easier or would it be difficult to do?

    Easy with the power off and the oven removed from its location (kitchen carcass).
