Hi Tally
You are going to struggle to get an induction hob over a double built under oven as there will not be enough space for air circulation which the fans need to keep the unit from overheating. Insufficient ventilation and the the hob will cut out. A good fitter may be able to get the oven low enough down to the floor by using brackets to achieve the airspace required. Hob must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers spec otherwise your guarantee may be void. An ordinary ceramic hob can be fitted above a double oven with no problems. The AEG you mention is part of the Zanussi Electrolux group of companies, not as good as they once were but very little is these days due to price erosion etc.
HTH 🙂

Hi Don
Thanks. I have been looking today and I don’t thin an induction will fit above the oven, so it looks like we will stick with a single oven.
Any suggestions on what make pleaseRegards

Hi Tally
Personally I like the Bosch range of appliances, well made for the price, large grill pan, two year warranty, good back up and you should be okay for under £300.
You could get an induction hob in under a single oven 😉 you need to be sure you have enough capacity as induction are a higher kw rating.

Hi Don
looks like the builders of my extension took out my 6mm cooker cable and connected the existing to 13amp so i will be rearranging the kitchen but want a new oven and hod and the wife wants a new kitchen so it might be moot to double induction over hob. anybody got a recommendation for a kitchen design/fitter Sheffield

Just a word of caution but induction jobs a notoriously unreliable in the long term. (i.e they fail just out of warranty and repairs are costly).
Gas hobs by the same token are far far more reliable, do not require fancy pans, are very very controllable and last forever.
You’ll be kicking yourself if you didn’t stick to gas. Mark my words. 😉
