    Hi,
Just a quick question about a timer that a customer wants fitting to a delonghi range cooker dfs903.
It has a gas top and electric oven and haven’t seen it yet, but to change the timer can it be done without removing the gas top or not. I’m not gas safe and just wondered if anybody knew before I go and order it.

    Cheers

    Hi

The stainless steel top will need to be removed but you do not need to be gas safe to replace the timer as long as you do not break any gas joints. That includes the bayonet fitting on the flexible hose. But if the customer has disconnected the hose and it is left disconnected for the customer to refit. BUT take due care and attention.

Thought as much. I try not to get involved if the top has to come off but it is an old customer and from memory it comes off quite easily. Think I’ll give it a go.
I know there was a thread about how far we could go with a gas oven but couldn’t just find it.
    Thanks for the info
