Hoover WDYN 865DG displaying E07 after successful wash cycle

Hi,

I am new to the forum and was wondering if anyone here could help me with my recently issue with my Washer Dryer. The machines works fine drying and washing clothes and even tells you when the wash or dry cycle has ended by displaying END, however when the door should be released after 2 minutes or so it will change from END and display E07 and the door will remain closed. The only way to open the door is to turn the machine off and after 2 minutes the door will open.

Also I have noticed if I start a wash or dry cycle and pause it, after two minutes the door will release.

As I don’t use the machine that frequently I am not sure if the door lock light should remain on at all times. When I turn on the machine the door lock light is on. Even though the wash or dry cycle hasn’t been started and the door is not locked. After starting the wash cycle the light will flash several times and then remain lit as before. I am assuming this isn’t normal and could be why I have the fault. If so where would this issue lie?

I have since replaced the door locking switch and the issue remains.

Could anyone else help me with this issue before I start throwing money away at it.
