    HI
Here are 4 pics of our Diplomat Select 620 (I think model number may be AHY3601)

A lot of heat comes out just above the door even though there is an undamaged rectangular seal around where you put things in the oven and the door closes against it.

In one picture, you can see between the top of the silver door and the silver controls panel above, which has Select 620 written on it, there’s a thin recessed gap right across – although it is still above the rectangular seal around the oven opening where you heat stuff so i don’t think heat would be escaping from the main oven opening. However, in another photo you can see along that gap are a series of inch long thin slits. Heat comes from that gap, so i’m wondering if it’s from those slits, even though they are above the ceiling of the area where you heat food inside.
Is that supposed to happen that quite a bit of heat inevitably comes out, or is there some sort of seal or panel missing that should be blocking off that area?

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks Ross

All the while the oven is on the cooling fan should also be at work blowing cool air out from those slats. So I’m thinking that the cooling fan is NOT working?

Thanks martin. The hot air coming out isn’t roasting hot, so maybe the cooler fan is working? or should it be cool/cooler than lukewarm? is there a way of telling if the cooler fan is working?

    Thanks

Cool’ish air should come out. Whatever though, as long as you can detect air being circulating outward from those top vents indicates that the cooling fan is at least operating.
