Water appears to get too hot with steam venting out front. Is this a sensor or thermostat problem and is it easy to fix?

Have you tested the NTC on the Element?

    Hi Steve,

Can work my way round PC, Laptop, Printer, but complte newbie on Laundry machines. What is the NTC on the element and how do I test it? Thanks for the reply in the first instance.

    Regards, Terry

The “NTC” is in effect the thermostat. A small electronic device inserted into the heating element or alongside. It has two thin wires going to it. That NTC needs replacing at least from the symptoms you describe anyway.

Thanks Steve, however since my last post, a Quick Wash seems to have gone through without steam coming out of machine – so might try a few different wash settings to see what happens. BTW any way to get hold of machine technical manuals?

    Regards,

    Terry.

You have a much better chance of winning the lottery without buying a ticket.
