    could anyone point me in the right direction, came home from work wife said machine packed up, turned it on and water filled up,when started to turn, machine went bang and sparks from bottom of machine. checked belt ok and power going to machine. would it be anything I could do myself or need a engineer. thanks for advice.

    Sounds like a main motor fault but if it really did go bang then there is a strong possibility that it will have taken out the electronics, if that is the case then the machine is BER.
