Bosch WRT2800GB – Stopping mid-cycle. Pre-Rinse/Anti-Crease

Bosch WRT2800GB – Stopping mid-cycle before spin/rinse/dry. Pre-Rinse/Anti-Crease and number 3 illuminated.

I’ve just been given this machine by a friend as my old one began to fail, it’s a little on the old side but I was told it working great.

I’ve ran the machine on a 90 degree cycles to wash it out and also ran some washing machine supermarket cleaners through it just to make sure it clean and ready to use and it seemed to be in good working condition.

However, today when I set the machine to run a cycle, it begins and after around 45 mins of washing it stops and the pre-wash light turns on and the anti-crease light, and the number 3 is highlighted on the timer panel.

If I turn off the machine, I can put it into a a spin cycle, then a dry cycle seperately and it does complete each cycle fine and clothes come out clean, span and dryed but it will not do a full cycle automatically and something seems to stop it mid-cycle. I’ve checked the manuel and it recommends for this fault to clean the water inlet filters, but I’m struggling to figure this out.

Can someone help me do this repair? I’m struggling to do it myself and have had quotes from engineers for £100 and upwards just to come out and look at it and I’m concerned it may be an easy fix I can do myself!

I’ve also cleaned the front accessible filters which were full of gunk, but this didn’t resolve the issue with the cycle stopping mid-cycle.
