WHIRLPOOL ADP8463 ODD DISPLAY

The full code for this machine is ADP8463PCGG but I think the final letters MAY be restricted to the French model (I live in France.)
Yesterday, the machine had a drain problem, [Error: F6 E4] which I THOUGHT I’d rectified, by cleaning the machine and the pipework into which it drains.
Today, the waste water seems to drain perfectly, but the machine now shows an odd display which we’ve never encountered before.
I can best describe it as a little illuminated dash – like this:- – which works its way round and round the little display panel. This comes on all the programmes we select and takes the place of the time countdown which was there previously. This doesn’t seem to be mentioned in our manual.
There doesn’t SEEM be a problem with the functioning, but we’re a bit apprehensive that there might be something.
PS The well-known S–‘s Law applies: the machine was under 24 month guarantee until 7 October!
