Bearings gone on the washing machine (top loader), looks pretty obvious with brown marks etc. How do you get the drum support unit off? Its just like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/DRUM-BEARING-SU … 1826704119 with 20 small holes, opened anti clockwise. Given that its been making a bit of a noise recently the who shaft could be stuffed and a new one due – just thought I would ask as I can’t see anything on the internet that helps. I can see a couple of very dry ball bearings through the gap…

There’s seven version of it, you’ll need the PNC number to get the right spares for it.

I’ve not come across that one before but most of that ilk are a right pig of a job to do.

Thanks, finished the wash that was in there by squirting some lubricant into the bearings and letting it finish the cycle, choose not to do a spin! Given that the machine is well over 6 years old have decided to go for a new machine – given that the parts alone will be around £100 (plus laundry fees whilst waiting) thought it a sensible option. The space available means a top loader and 40cm width, found 2 machines that ‘fit’ that description and going for a Hotpoint.

When you get brown in your washing on this beast the bearings are well and truly fooked. Sorry to say but it’s time to call it a day on this one. 🙁
