    WFO 2050AU
    WFL 2000AU
    Would like to swap motors between these two machines if at all possible.
    The mounts and pulley are the same but the motors are visibly slightly different.
    Will fit and connect OK, but if I flick the switch will it work, die or fry?

    Therte are more than one version of each of those models /?? would identify correctly.


    Picking one from each WFL2050AU is 00142122 WFL2000AU is 00144797. Probably not a good idea to swap them out.

    Does that help? Didn’t realise that was critical info.

    Can you explain what the issue is with the swap (I like knowing the why of it)
    Is it possible to swap them just for an unloaded run thorough to see if the dead one only needs a motor?
    (suspect motor is trying, brushes were down to the wire so replaced them, plenty of straining noises but no go, drum can be spun easily enough by hand)

    The critical bit is still missing WFL2000AU/.. <- there is 2 digits there. Going by the FD # the WFO is /01 but the WFL is inconclusive

    The wiring diagrams I can see (guessing on the version) show similar but different resistance measurements and slightly different internal wiring in the motor (do they have different spin speeds?).
    I wouldn’t try unless you don’t mind that the result might be a dead machine. Worst case scenario is that you will fry the electronic module.

    Both motors are different sadly we do not get told what differences are by the manufacturers.

    I personally would not risk inter swapping as you could damage the door interlock or the main board or even both. The two machines are quite old as well 2002 and 2005 production respectively. So any misdemeanor will render them scrap.
