ParticipantThe main electric oven on our twin oven range style Baumatic, model BT2750SS, has stopped working. No lights or fan either. Small oven is OK. I have checked the clock and timing selector as I’ve been fooled by that before but it doesn’t seem to be that although I can’t rule it out.
I’ve looked at a few threads but can’t see the exact same problem with this model.
I bought some new door springs a few months ago so would like to get it going if poss.

Hi
Are you an engineer ? as you’ve had faults on several different washing machines ?

Check out the thermal trip.

No not an engineer. Just been unlucky with appliances or in any case I think they often fail especially under the heavy family load we give them. Had a Bosch dishwasher that exploded. Now we only buy Miele or AEG.
Re the Baumatic – where do I find the thermal trip? It wasn’t on when it stopped working though. Is there a manual/diagram anywhere. I am handy with a multimeter.
Thanks

Ok so I think it may be the selector switch for the main oven. I’ve just checked and Baumatic have this part in stock. Now are you sitting down – it’s £166! Simply incredible.

Thanks. I’ve not taken it apart yet but will be in touch when I do and it is that part, as indicated by other info on the net.
This will no doubt be one of those ‘when are you going to fix the bloody oven’ scenarios. Meanwhile there is the small oven and the microwave.

Here’s the link to the £166 switch – are they serious?
