    Yeah but, it’s not much use if…

      You cannot get spare parts
      You cannot get spare parts at sensible prices
      You cannot get technical documentation
      You cannot find anyone to sell them to
      You cannot make them good and make money is all the above is okay

    Anyone can give them away to “those in need” but, faced with the choice of having to pay for a few year old one or a stingy new one from Argos (even if we all know it’s hardly great) what will most people do?

    I’d guess you’d see more of this…

    Yes Ken I keep up to speed and so do most of my posts. I gave up on recons years back but I thought the news would brighten up George’s (Allsorts) day anyway.

    And we have any good number of refugees coming into our numbers so they will revel in the thoughts of housing complete with appliances. 😉

    the day they started sealed tubs was the day recons ceased to be viable

    Bosch Classix/Exxcel 1200 and 1400 recons still selling well, plenty of parts and better value than most of the sub £300 machines on offer including the current crop from Bosch. Only problem seems to be customers wanting 8kg machines.
