Hello everyone, Thx for letting me in the forum. This might save me a few bob. 😀 The left multi-control switch on my oven snapped off on Christmas Day two years ago with the turkey already in the oven fortunately. Since then, the control has remained on fan oven, and I switch the whole thing off at the wall. Now, I’ve decided to order the replacement switch at Partsmaster. Some front panel instructions http://blog.applianceboards.com/installs/how-to-remove-an-oven-control-board/ look easy, but the Electrolux EOB5630X front panel doesn’t seem to have any standard screw heads. Looks like a pig to remove, and I’m going to have to get a sparky in. Any ideas, please? 😯

I think I’ll be getting an engineer in then.

    Hi

Unless someone has removed the fascia from one of these there won’t be many takers on guess work I’m afraid.

If the screw heads are star shaped and you want to go in yourself then you can buy these at B & Q and the like. Don’t forget to turn the power off first!!

The drawing attached is all we get from the manufacturers so any engineer will go by experience and gut feeling.

    HTH 🙂

Thanks for the info, Don. As they say in Thunderbirds, “anything could happen in the next ten minutes”. 😀
