Hi, our machine stopped working today. Initially, it was showing a code ‘H2O’ and it hadn’t filled. I checked the water supply and no problems. I removed the water hose at the inlet port and checked there was no restriction in the filter gauze there – no restrictions.
Tried it again on a rinse program and then a wash program and no code any more. It tries to fill but the inlet valve closes after about 2 or 3 seconds. This happens 3 times and there is no movement of the drum.
If there is a problem with the motor would that affect the inlet valve? and why did it initially show a code but not repeat it?
I have of course tried turning it off and back on again!
Any help appreciated please, thanks, Andy.

Possibly an intermittently faulty inlet valve, not uncommon on these.

Two different inlet valves fitted, full serial number and commercial code needed to identify correct part number.

Trying to say why these machines do anything is not easy, in fact trying to explain how they ever work in the first place, very flaky electronics to say the least.

Generally a motor fault would prevent the machine from running a simple spin cycle.
