    Hi

I posted earlier about my Samsung RSG5UCRS freezer section not cooling properly. It’s a twin cooling side by side and the fridge part works fine but the freezer doesn’t regulate correctly.

To recap, the displayed temperature (-20) is correct but the internal temperature is too warm and fluctuates anywhere between -15 and -3. The fan, evaporator etc all seem to be functioning OK. I have replaced the temperature sensor at the top of the unit.

The weird bit is that when the freezer is powered off then on again, the displayed temperature is correct but then gradually changes to the demanded temperature (-20). This change in the displayed temperature doesn’t seem to have any correlation to the actual temperature inside.

Is this a normal bit of logic in the system or does it point to a PCB fault?

Any explanation would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

    Nick
