    I have a diplomat APL8215 ,when a program is selected it starts up but the dial does not move on to the next stage .If the dial is turned manually the stages operate ok but do not move forward to the next. What can I do?

    Timer motor or coil is fragged.

    At the age of it and, as it’s a Fagor Brandt machine, the best advice I can offer is simply to start looking for a replacement. It’s not worth spending any money on.
