Hi guys, I know it’s a long shot and this part is obsolete but does anyone where I could get hold of a C00211402/1801972 module for a Hotpoint DWF34 branded Bosch dishwasher. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

iirc these used the same module design that bosch have been replacing under their recall. But what hotpoint have been doing is just replacing the whole appliance rather than pcb. Weve come across numerous bsh built hotpoint branded dws with majorly burnt out modules in past which until we knew about the bsh recall had just been writing off as BER (thankfully not just repairing the pcb). Since the bsh recall weve been advising customers to contact hotpoint quoting the BSH SGS code as well as the hotpoint ones and we know of at least 3 complete replacements that have taken place down here

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I have checked the module and found an over-heated leg of one of the relays. Checked on Farnell and the relay is available so I may replace it and see if it sorts it. Are Hotpoint really replacing these machines after all this time?

this was part of a recall for this very problem. had one done about 18 months ago by hotpoint. came out and replaced timer FOC

They fit an external relay kit but if the pcb shows any signs of overheating the pcb must be replaced if available, if the parts is obsolete then it’s write off.

One very good reason not to attempt a board repair yourself, a subsequent fire would hammer your PLI and could even have more serious repercussions.

yeah thats exactly whats been happening here, hpt parts obsolete, so they write off and replace appliance, rather than get a updated module from bosch, cynic in me wonders if bosch might be holding them to ransom over price of them?

    Re: Hotpoint DWF34

from what i can see on these boards the problem lies with the current flow which seems to flow through the plate through on the heater relay leg. before bosch recalled them i was fitting new relays but also drilling the board to solder 30a fuse wire from one side to the other to carry the current
had a few occasion where board had gone bang and blown chips but also ahd a lot that worked no probs
never had a failure after the mod
