    Morning guys, been out to an aeg single built under electric fan oven pnc no 944181217-00 that is burning everything, it got an electronic thermostat not manual, fans running,elements on reaches temperature But if I turn the stat down it DOSENT cut of heating element(glows red) my question is could it be, 1) the probe sensor or is it most likely to be the board, any help appreciated, thank you

    The PTC the most likely I would suggest.

    Hi Martin, forgive me for being dumb, Ptc? Meaning the probe? Or are yo on about the little thermal cut out? As its not cutting out its just getting hotter and hotter, ie on full blast all the time, thanks

    Yep PTC (positive temperature coefficient) mean the probe yes. :yup:

    Had one of these recently, same fault- changed sensor, still burning .
    was pcb .(The relay sticks)
