    Hi all
woke up this morning and fridge freezer started bleeping randomly, and the lock light is flashing on the display, however at the moment both fridge & freezer seem to be working fine.
3 years ago I bought the kit to repair the fridge off here and its been perfect since
None of the buttons work on the display, I tried pressing fridge and freezer temp to turn the lock on and off but nothing, unless I open the fridge door, then close it, then I can switch the lock light off however this lasts a couple of minutes, then its back bleeping and flashing
while its bleeping and flashing, the display lights for quick freeze , crushed, off, and vacation are all on but really dim, both temperatures, cubed light(which its set to) and the water filter light are all lit as normal, but the ice timer light is off completely, then the lock light is flashing brightly and bleeping

this is a pretty comprehensive description of my fault, so any fault advice or part recommendations as always greatly appreciated
    thanks in advance

    UPDATE
I have just found something that may help you shed some light?
If I just open and close the freezer door, the bleeping stops and lock light stops flashing, but the certain lights stay on dimly which I cannot say I have noticed before?
However this only lasts a couple of minutes as it starts bleeping and flashing again, I think the vibration has something to do with it poss?
    hope this helps

Re: Samsung S2028CSS american fridge symptom

I have managed to get the front control panel off, and I have found some more info. The surround had water in it, bottom right only a bit
The plug into the pcb was full of water, when i unplugged it, and there is mould around that area so it has been building up for a while, where the bunch of cables come down through the top right of the compartment, they have a spongy type material around them thats mouldy, and that is dripping wet so something could poss? be leaking through there.
    any ideas?
I think the pins inside the socket on the pcb look ok, some are starting to rust but work when I re fit it all dry with a quick clean with wd40

a long shot, but there is a button located under the the fascia near the water pipe section called “anti sweat heater switch” I have had the machine years and only now have i seen this, it was off, would that be the reason — sweat/condensation, is that what the heater is for? I have switched it on see what happens?
couldnt edit this post so here I am
    cheers again
