Hi, When the program knob is rotated to any prog, the on/off lights up….then goes off after a few seconds to a minute.
Checked the filter capacitor which had blown open so replaced with a genuine Bosch part…Still does the same..any ideas? I`ve taken out the main prog board to check for dry joints around the transformer but can`t see any..Might this be a typical fault or am I missing something..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Paul

    Re: Bosch WTE84107 condenser dryer

I can answer my own question as have spoken to a good friend of mine who was a Bosch engineer for many years. He tells me this is extremely common on this type of dryer and that 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it`s the main program board that fails due to the high heat and poor design. A replacement board is £160 and may well fail again.
Subsequent models have the board encased in epoxy in an attempt to negate failure …but they still fail.
    Worth bearing in mind……
