Don’t worry – power cord was unplugged before removing parts.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, but it’s time to fix something again. I found the source of my water leak, but am a little stumped at how to fix it. The water drips from the salt reservoir’s rear compartment through two black seals, which contain two contacts that attach to a small circuit board. Water is dripping onto the circuit board. Amazingly enough, everything seems to be working fine, until the drip tray fills up… Any advice would be appreciated. Getting Miele parts here in Poland might/might not be a problem. I hope the pictures help. I won’t be using it until it can be fixed.

From the photos you gave it looks like possibly the water is coming down from the fill matrix. Maybe the round gasket between the matrix and the tub? Then trickling down the side of the tub and between the ion exchanger and the module board?

    Martin,

Thanks for your reply. I guess I could double check, but I’m quite confident it’s leaking through the small black seal. I wouldn’t have thought it was possible, since there isn’t a lot of pressure there…
