My 8 year old Miele KFN 8997 SE ed fridge freezer at home shows no sign of life. I don’t repair refrigeration but couldn’t resist trying some basic diagnostics. As expected, the electronic power pcb has failed – there are clear signs of a burnout on the surface mount pcb.
My instinct tells me this is likely to be secondary damage caused by failure of another component, but I am pretty clueless beyond that. Can any fridge specialists suggest likely culprits and/or basic diagnostic tests I can do to help pinpoint the fault? I have the usual Miele circuit diagram.

Miele are booked in for next week (ouch!). I’ll report back what they find. Any suggestions on what to check in the mean time would be greatly appreciated!
