    I have a Hotpoint TDC62P Condenser Dryer. A few days ago, it ran cold & using a meter, I found the ‘once only stat’ to be open cct. I have sourced (from UK Whitegoods)& fitted a new pair of stats, but as soon as I select a programme & before pressing the Start button, the Drying light is illuminated. This has never previously happened.
    I am worried that if I attempt a drying cycle, the fault causing the drying light to illuminate, will lead to to Once only stat activating again.

    That one I don’t know the answer to, is that light only supposed to be on when it’s heating?

    A known fault on the seriously expensive ‘Dryness module’

    If you are handy with a soldering iron then read THIS 😉
