    Hi,

BEKO DW450 is totally dead with no lights showing on panel.

I have traced the power as far as the On Off switch which is getting full power going into the switch. I am not sure how to check if power is coming out of the switch and also test further on from there to where the problem lies?

Also I has to remove the connections from the on off switch to test the power input and I am not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain I replaced the four connections into the same terminals as I stupidly did not photograph them first.

Can anyone confirm the connection locations and also advise how to test the power out of and beyond the switch? I do not want to order a new PCB when it could simply be the switch.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Rob

You can test the switch without power on it.

Terminal one and two should have continuity when the switch is closed. That’s the live and there’s a feed from T2 to the live in on the board, KN1:T1.

5 & 6 are the neutral on the switch, same thing. Goes to KN5:T1.

Hi many thanks for your help, but can you be a bit clearer, you are talking to a non technical person here!

Can you give me some colours on the on-off switch and cables? I cannot see any T1 or T2 markings. Where is KN1:T1? Where are 5&6, I cannot see any markings, and where is KN5:T1?

    Thank in advance

    Hi Rob,

If you’re non-technical… you’re kinda getting into a technical thing to be doing.

The terminal numbers refer to the ones on the switch.

The coordinates are the connector blocks and pin numbers on the board.

If you can’t work those out I’d strongly suggest calling a professional.
