ParticipantI would like to download the free software that organises the service calls etc
Could someone please advise whether it is internet based or will it be on the hard disk of my computer?
Could it handle 5 engineers daily tasks so could be seen at a glance where they are etc and record all clients data for future use ???
Any feedback would be greatly appreciatedDecember 13, 2015 at 10:36 am #433681Martin

Do you mean Rapport?
It can be used either locally, as in installed on a PC on your local network with all the database etc there. But set up correctly it can be used remotely so that, for example, you can install in your office but use it from home.
Or, it can be installed on a remote server and used across the web.
It’s not tracking software though, as in, it doesn’t allow you to see a realtime map of where the engineers are, that’s a thing I don’t know I’ve really been asked about all that much, I suspect as, you pretty much know where they are as you’re getting the call data back if the engineers use web or mobile to complete/update the calls as they go.
But yes, it should cope with five engineers without even blinking and there’s a few of the guys that use it on here that may be able to tell you more.
The Rapport site is offline though, we had an issue with that and a few others when the server failed that we’re still sorting out but I’ve asked Sudeep to have a look into it.

ParticipantRe: Database
brilliant thanks sudeep
I have a database at the moment which is struggling because we have about 3000 clients listed with approx 4000 various jobs over the last say 2 years and if 3 or 4 of us are using at the same time from different locations doing searchs then it pops up a message saying we have exceeded 75,000 requests and locks us out for a while .
We have never been happy with it as it is slow to get around and if clients waiting for Invoices in the shop then can look a little unprofessional.
Would Rapport cope with this ? We have 5 Engineers but I would like another and really 3 operatives could be using at the same time in a busy period
Really appreciate your feedback on thisMarch 11, 2016 at 12:02 pm #433689sudeep
