My condensing dryer doesn’t work in the garage. I have researched and realise it’s due to temperature, so it’s going. But my question – is a vented dryer going to work?

    Hi

If your condenser dryer is a sensor dryer that’s probably the reason for it not working correctly as they need an ambient temperature in order to operate. If you bring it into the house it will work normally.

If you wish to change it then yes I would go with a vented dryer with a mechanical timer like the White Knight WK44AW.

    HTH 🙂

    The answer is, maybe.

Problem is that if there’s too much condensation it can alter the resistance of sensors if it forms on the terminals and obviously the chance that something will go *bang* due to the same.

Most dryers these days have electronic temperature control using NTC’s which will not work below +5C. You will need to source one still using mechanical thermostat. A rare beast indeed.

Possibly White Knight still make one?
