Hi
Looking for adviCe on what to do next – I have an Indesit washer dryer model IWDC6143 that is not draining after washing or drying.
It is 2 days out of warranty.
Managed to siphon most of the water out of the drum.
All the lights were flashing.
have turned off and cleaned the pump filter but still not pumping water out.
drum turns and cycles ok but doesn’t pump the water out.

first of all remove the pump filter again and shine a torch inside to make sure there is nothing jamming the impellor such as a hairgrip or piece of bra wire. You should be able to turn the impellor with your finger, it should not spin freely but flick round in quarter turns.
You should also check for any blockages in the grey plastic outlet pipe if it is connected to the undersink plumbing.Re: Indesit iwdc6143 not draining

Removed the filter again and after shining a torch inside realised that there was gunk on the impellor – gently scraped it all off and it was flicking around no problem.I also snaked the drain hose ..just in case .. nothing came out though.
Put it all back together and my washer dryer is now working perfectly – to be honest it now runs as quiet as when I first bought it.
