Hello everyone
I have a Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXL 129. It is a great machine and came with the property I live in. However, it has started to stink (I mean, like death). I have chucked the same load through a few times and then decided to take the kick plate off to clean the filter. Unfortunately the filter cover handle thing has snapped off so there is no way of getting a purchase on it to undo it. Is there any way of getting it off at all? I’ve put a 90′ wash on now in the hope it will make a difference (to the smell) but I’m not holding my breathe.I love this washing machine and really don’t want to get rid just because a stupid piece of plastic snapped!

The filter handle will have broken off because the filter is jammed with foreign bodies, coins, hairgrips, bra wires etc.
The only way to get the objects out is by removing the pump completely from the machine.
