Hi, first post newbie here (retired plumbing/heating engineer). Drum makes clicking noise during cycle and when drum is pushed or pulled when turned off ie drum pushed to wall at back or pulled forward to front of machine. In fact even walking near the machine on the suspended floor makes the drum click. Machine is about 7.5 years old now and used twice a week about. I have looked online and wonder if this click corresponds with bearing failure. Your thoughts appreciated. ?

Remove the back panel, take the belt off and spin the drum. If it is then silent the motor is at fault.
If the noise is still there then there is a foreign body inside the drum or possibly the drum support has cracked. The bearings make a loud rumbling noise when they fail.

Either way it may be time for a new machine, the outer drum is totally sealed so if there is something inside and you can’t extract it from the sump hose or by removing the heater it’s a complete drum assembly.

Thanks iadom. I am feeling a bit daft now. I took the wood door off as built in model and the hinges too. Lo and behold clicking stopped. Have run hot maintenance wash and ordinary wash since and so far no noise.
