    Evening all,

    I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season in good health! :penguins:

    Very luckily and by the skin of my teeth, I got this very lovely Hotpoint Supermatic 1400 from 1961. I’m still a bit overwhelmed! 😀

    It’s in amazing condition both internally and externally considering it is 55 years old next year. It even came with the very rare worktop that very seldom came along with this machine. Apart from requiring the usual tidy up and hose replacement the machine only has one issue that I think will be hard to remedy. 😕 The spinner lid support brackets need replacement as one is entirely disintegrated and the other is corroded. Why oh why did Hotpoint have to use an alloy for this part! 😥

    I know it’s a long shot but would anyone here have a pair of these that I can buy? Any other 1400 spares would be most welcome but I think I’m chancing my arm already.

    I may even have to fabricate my own with some help. 😐

    You lucky devil getting your paws on that.
    No parts as far as I know but if you click the link below it`ll lead to the appliance forum that deals with ancient appliances. This particular link is about Soviet t/tubs ( also found in N Korea too ) but you can join up and see if anyone has any spare parts there. Best of luck.

    Oh yes there is, well at least one. Spin pump drive 🙂
