    Good Morning,
I am posting this to see if there is anything that can save my LG Fridge Freezer.
A year ago it developed an issue where by there is a large amount of ice under the bottom drawer in the freezer, meaning the drawer is unable to come out. The ice is about 1cm thick. I removed this constantly, but it kept coming back. It then seemed to start leaking, which has damaged my tiled floor. One suggestion was that auto defrost was some how blocked or iced up, so I defrosted the whole system for 2 days to ensure all was completely frost free and the problem stopped, for about 3 months, now it is back, I have repaired the floor and the leak is back again, sometimes.

Is there any history of this or suggestions of what could fix it?

    I really appreciate your time

The drain is blocking with ice you will have to defrost it again.

Then check at the back outside above the compressor for a rubber non return valve as it may be sticking.

You can trim it back with scissors to stop it sticking or remove it and fit a new one.

It is normally better just to trim it back.

your telling more than 1 cm so you can open the door of the freezer, put an electric fan heater in front of it and let it blow directly into the freezer.it regularly happened just change your Refrigerator because it very difficult to handled. for more designs and log on Buy home appliances online india

kirankumarp IP address suggests he/she is posting from East India. The user has not added anything really useful to the topic.

Also the mention of “Buy home appliances online india” sets my alarm bells ringing as a possible spammer.

I have this problem. Where is the drain Bob talked about? It seemed to me like it would be at the back outside but mine has nothing like that – it is just all metal. But there doesn’t seem to be anything inside like that either. If I k new where the compressor was he talked about I might have a better idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
