Just finished a load on it and when I press the on/off button the light flash as they do normally then they just go off right away.
Had the back off and examined the board I can’t see anything visually wrong.
Apart from loose connections between the two pcb’s or one or two of the left hand vertical buttons sticking in then failure of either board is likely. The tiny micro switches on the console pcb are rather weak and prone to the solder connections breaking before the little micro switch falls off altogether as well.
Thanks for the quick reply guess I’ll have another look tomorrow if I can’t see anything I’ll take a chance and replace the program selector board first as that’s the more likely as its under more stress when I press the power button (due to a plastic clip broke behind the button)
Cheers
In that case check the tiny micro switch first, usually possible to resolder the connections with care and a steady hand. Then when refitting fold some cardboard to make a wedge behind the pcb to hold it tight.
