    Hi Gentlemen,

I recently (10 days ago) replaced the door seal on my Hotpoint RLS175 upright fridge.

The replacement seal was brand new, and bought from http://www.spares4appliences.co.uk

Since replacing the seal the door no longer shuts tight.

On further inspection I’ve noticed that the seal does not meet the fridge carcass in many places. The door seal is wavy. I’ve tried pushing the seal onto the fridge carcass but it just concertinas up again.

Any advice on how to straighten/flatten this door seal? Or have I been sent a defective part?

I’m surprised the seller didn’t give you any advice but, that’s hardly uncommon with a number of them. Sell you the bits, not much else.

Get a hairdryer, heat the seal and it should slowly pop back into shape.

    K.
