I have a Bosch Excel 7 1200 Express WAE24467GB washing machine, it was making a horrible loud noise on spin cycle then it stopped as it blacked out the electrics.

The electrics are now on again but there is a clicking noise when I rotate the drum manually, its a clicking noise on each rotation rather than a grinding noise of the bearings, the washer is now full of water and is now unplugged.

How do I drain the water out and any idea what is wrong with it?

I don’t know what is wrong with it, but try this to drain the water:

Disconnect from the electricity supply and turn off the water supply to the machine.
At the bottom front right there should be a small flap. Open this and there should be a narrow flexi hose with a cap on.
Get something for the water to drain into (there might be quite a bit) and open the cap on the flexi hose. The water should drain out, but might take a while. Have an old towel handy as there are always spills.

As to finding out what has caused it, while it is disconnected from the electricity and water you could take the back or top off and have a look inside. There are various videos on YouTube to show you how to do this.

Motor`s com segments have shorted- one or more segments are raised. motor scrap I`m afraid. Another triumph from Bosch….you know it makes sense!
