    Servis fridge freezer Model-m7684 refridge-r134a
    Stopped working.no hum/vibe from compressor but unit warm/hot.
    checked thermostat by shorting/bypass with no results.
    could starter component be prob?how do i test?i have a multi meter.
    or has the motorgone?!!!

    It could be either really.

    More likely is the compressor though, check it for continuity across the pins.

    hi dave
    i have replaced capacitor.no change.the motor runs for about 5 seconds then switches. even shorting the thermastat regardless results in same.any more advice apprieciated

    Compressor failure then by the sound of it as I thought 🙁

    Replacement would cost somewhere between £125-£200 so time for a replacement maybe ?
