Washer dryer stopped, I thought it finished the wash. Tried to spin – machine won’t move. Tried normal wash – machine attempts to start but then stops displays fault code E01 and activates the drain pump. I suspect water valve coil. Washer has 3 valves – surprised all 3 are gone. Any suggestions what could be wrong

Possible open circuit in the dryer valve coil?

Martin I have test the valve coil using multimeter and all 3 are fine.

Martin, just to clarify – the dryer coil is one of the water valves?

Errr? Is there a ‘water block’ hose fitted to your machine? That’s a fill hose that fits on the stopcock with a large block on the end or has it just got a standard PVC fill hose?

Martin, the hose has a stopcock on the end where it attaches to the mains. I did detached the hose from the machine end and open the tap with hose in the sink and there was significant water pressure – water splash all over
