Model SI-E10XG-CL-GC (2007 model) this is an all electric range cooker with twin capillary.

I want to take the ceramic top off to make it easier to change the ‘stat but can’t, for the life of me see how the ceramic top comes off!!

Any HELP much appreciated 😀 I’ve tried talking to the tech at Brittania but they don’t seem to know 🙁

The ones that I have done in the past have two screws at the back, the top then lifts from the back and then you slide it forward.
I don’t know if that helps?.

Just to add, they were screws with a nut on the other side, so the back panels had to come off as well.

Thanks Swerv….Tried that, but the top just wont push forward. It’s a real odd one because it looks like the top can’t lift off because the bars that hold the plate elements in place are wider than the top (They go under the lip of the side panels) if that makes sense?

I managed to renew the ‘stat after taking the back panels off, but now it needs a new clock too and that will be a pain in the butt if I cant get the top off.

    Any other suggestions anyone? PLEASE
