Hi,
I’ve got a 10 year old Smeg FA311X2 frost free fridge freezer.
I noticed the other day that it was not as cold as it should be. Then I checked around the back and the compressor wasn’t making any noise at all.
When I switched the thermostat dial down to zero (off) and then on again, the compressor kicked in again and it got cold again. About 8 or so hours later I noticed the compressor stopped again. Turning the thermostat down to zero and back on to 7 again started the compressor.
This happens every 8 or so hours roughly and the fridge gets cool again.
Any ideas on the cause please?
